I am privileged to have shared a stage with some fabulous musicians and I’m happy to see my diary gradually filling up again. It’s already been a busier year for me than the last couple of years (for obvious reasons) and I’m hoping, as I’m sure you all are, that the live music scene will continue on it’s path to a full recovery.

If you’d like to find out a bit more about what I do and who I play with, below are some links to some of the projects I have been involved with to give you a bit of a flavour of my work.

Banter

“Featuring percussion, trumpet, Melodeon and keyboards. Banter are an infectious, genre hopping trio mixing Morris tunes, soulful vocals and raucous chorus songs into a concert to ceilidh headliner”

– Steve Knightley (Show Of Hands)

Reverie quartet

Reverie Quartet are a Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli inspired swing quartet lead by Nigel Wheeler (Guitar) and myself with Joe Morris (Rhythm Guitar) and Thomas Maddison (Double Bass).

petra garrard

Petra is a singer and songwriter based in East Anglia. We met playing in a band together and decided to start playing Petra’s songs as a duo, in which I play violin and acoustic guitar.

southbound

I’ve always had a soft spot for country music but I had never been in a country band before so when I was asked to be in this one I couldn’t refuse.

the life of riley

Life of Riley are a celtic rock band based in Bedford and I’ve been with them for over 20 years. They’re an excellent bunch of musicians and I’m lucky to be able to call them my friends. Here’s a remote recording we made in the middle of the first lockdown in 2020.
